MICROBITE / INSTALLATION & FIRST SHIPMENT
Set up Aramex Shipping for WooCommerce
Install your plugin, connect aramexConnect and prepare your first shipping label. Follow these steps in your WordPress dashboard.
Based on Microbite Aramex Shipping version 1.0.6. Bricks Builder is not required.
Before you start
Have your plugin ZIP, licence key and aramexConnect credentials ready.
Your WooCommerce store
WordPress 5.8+, WooCommerce 6.0+ and PHP 7.4+. WooCommerce must be active. If you use HPOS with this version, enable WooCommerce compatibility sync.
Your Aramex connection
An aramexConnect account with API access, Client ID and Client Secret. Your server must be able to reach the Aramex API. Shipping charges are separate from the plugin licence.
Six steps to your first label
01 · Install the plugin
In WordPress, open Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin. Select the plugin ZIP, choose Install Now, then activate it. Keep the file zipped when uploading.
02 · Activate your licence
Open Aramex Shipping → Manage License. Enter your licence key and activate it. Shipping tools remain gated until the licence is active.
03 · Connect aramexConnect
Open Aramex Shipping → Settings. Enter your Client ID and Client Secret from aramexConnect API settings. Keep the default connection URLs and scope unless your configuration requires a change. Save your settings and select Test API Connection.
04 · Set your package defaults
Review your default package type, weight, dimensions and label format in Settings. Use My Items for reusable box presets and Pickup Instructions for driver instructions. Product auto-fill requires weight and all three dimensions; review any missing-product warnings.
05 · Prepare an order and get a quote
Open a WooCommerce order and find its Aramex Shipping panel. Check the delivery details, select parcels, satchels or saved presets, and review every package. Custom parcel weight is in kg; dimensions are in cm. Select Calculate Price and review the quote and wallet balance.
06 · Book the shipment and print its label
When the details and quote are correct, select Create Shipping Order. Review the saved destination, packages and quoted total, then choose Confirm booking. This books a consignment and charges your aramexConnect wallet. After the successful result, select Refresh order, then Download Label. Print using your selected thermal or A4 format and attach the label to the parcel. Arrange collection in aramexConnect when needed.
A quote comes before a booking
Calculate Price requests a quote. Review the confirmation before choosing Confirm booking to create the shipment and charge your wallet. Your plugin licence does not include Aramex postage.
These tools work in the WooCommerce order screen. The plugin does not add live Aramex rates to your customer checkout.
If something needs attention
Shipping tools are unavailable
Check that WooCommerce and the plugin are active, then confirm your licence is activated in Manage License.
The connection test fails
Review your Client ID and Client Secret, confirm API access with aramexConnect, and check that your server can connect to the Aramex API.
A quote or booking is rejected
Check the inline message for address coverage, package limits or insufficient wallet funds. Review the delivery details and package measurements before trying again. Use the wallet top-up link when funds are required. If a booking result is uncertain, refresh the order and check for an existing consignment before attempting another booking.
Once orders have booked consignments, you can download their existing labels together from the orders list. Tracking details are included in the WooCommerce customer completed-order email for orders with an Aramex booking.
